All those who are good at mathmatics respond to this question. If someone puts out an application or two a day for various jobs over the period of a month that person should land a job, right? When? I hate job hunting. I need connections in the Portland area.
I have cousins in the Portland/Vancouver area they might know of something.. i’ll ask
Thanks Roger!
Sorry–in the same boat. When we finished school, hubby put out hundreds of resumes over a period of a couple months. We are just now seeing interviews begin to schedule. These are pastoral positions so the interview process is looooong…
For comparison, here’s some sales statistics – “the four P’s”. The right salesPerson, with the right Product, giving the right Presentation, to the right Prospect… is going to sell one out of five. All that, and statistically, you expect only 20%.
Canvassing without those four p’s isn’t guaranteed to get anything. In my own job search, I’m trying to network my way towards picking better targets. I’ve even found one, but now there’s a holding pattern. One out of five.
Just stick with it. And hopefully, find ways to shoot a higher percentage shot.
‘God luck’.
Oops, sorry. This was the old post dump you just mentioned (I skimmed past it).
Well, hope it turned out alright, last year! 🙂
All has been well. I ended up w a great job!
Oops! I didn’t see that either. Glad you found something. Do you think God laughed when I said a quick prayer for you? 🙂
God is outside of time. Your prayer was answered, though not in the order you intended 8)
Maybe he heard your prayer and retroactivley answered it!
Nathan – Really? Are you picking on my “Open” leanings? 🙂
Brian – If I’m wrong about all that- then you’re welcome! 🙂
In that case “You’re welcome” will be applicable! 😉
Haha! Sheesh – No mercy around here!
