I know the Apostle Paul wrote, “But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love” (1 Cor. 13:13). Yet I think that sometimes hope is the most essential for those other two to even exist. If we have hope for tomorrow, we find it easier to love the One who brings that hope. If we have hope for tomorrow, we can find faith for today. If we have no hope it is questionable whether or not we have faith, and if we lose our faith can we truly love?
