I have seen a lot of books and articles on Pauline theology that interact here and there with some portion of The Triumph of Abraham’s God: The Transformation of Identity in Galatians by Bruce W. Longenecker. It has been my desire to read it since it must have made an impact on studies related to the Epistle to the Galatians. Lo and behold, the Windows Booksellers bookstore located on the Western Seminary campus here in Portland has the book for $6.00! Yes, six dollars.
I looked it up on Amazon.com–$26.50!
There are few things as wonderful as finding a good book for a great price.
so does that mean you’re taking orders and will ship them nationwide? (read: Indiana)

This was a game changing book for how I read Paul. This and Jesus and the Victory of God, which did the same for the Gospels, are probably the two most influential books I have ever read on Biblical studies.
Doing a bit of googling about this book and this page came up. I’m currently a MA student at Trinity College Bristol. Wenham has us reading Longenecker. After seeing your bio, couldn’t help but comment. All the best.
Hello Katie,
Great to “meet” you. Wenham is one of my doctoral supervisors along with Craig A. Evans through Trinity College. Small world!
Small world indeed! It’s a good place, enjoying it. Best of luck!
Thank you!
