I have a ten hour drive to the Napa Valley in California tomorrow. I am thinking about downloading either Augustine’s Confessions or G.K. Chesterson’s Orthodoxy as an audio book to accompany me on my trip. If you had to choose one which would you choose?
Audio/Video, Augustine of Hippo, Books (General), G.K. Chesterton
Chesterton wins by way of wit. Always. Save Confessions for bathroom reading 🙂
Chesterton, because he is more witty and interesting and so you won’t fall asleep at the wheel!! 😉
Chesterton will definitely keep you awake. It’s like listening to a novel even though it’s nonfiction. I’ve read Orthodoxy and about half of Confessions. The Confessions are great, but it is kinda slow going.
Chesterton. you may risk falling asleep listening to Augustine!
