My Grand-Uncle, Fr. Larry Delonnay, has begun a blog! He is a pastor at Our Lady of the Lakes in Waterford, MI, and as far as I know the only other person in my family tree that has given much attention to biblical/theological matters. In fact, when he heard I went to seminary he joked that he was excited to hear I was going to be part of the “family business”. The new blog is titled “Through a Glass Darkly” and you can find it here.
Interesting, as there was/is a blog out there known as Through A Glass, Dimly. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of recent activity there, though.
I don’t think there is any relation between the two.
There is also an active blog called “Through a Glass Darkly. It can be found at http://www.tgdarkly.com/. The blogger is David Opderbeck, a professor at Seton Hall’s law school and a theology buff. David also blogs for and comments on the BioLogos blog “Science and the Sacred” and comments frequently on Scot McKnight’s Jesus Creed blog, particularly on the blogs written by RJS.
Hey, Waterford, Michigan, is a hop and a skip away from here! Well, 45-minutes, but considering that I regularly go to Church out there, that’s not all that far away.
So, when are you visiting your dear old grand uncle? 😉
Esteban,
Actually, we may be going to Michigan sometime in 2011 because my wife’s mother’s side of the family is located there and a family reunion is in the works. If we make the trip I will be visiting my uncle as well. It would be great to meet in person so if all this falls into place I will let you know!
Woohoo! Yes, do let me know. 🙂 Where does your wife’s family live?
I am not sure what part of Michigan. I’d have to ask her.
