In an effort to defile this blog just like others with their SBL book purchases (although mine will do minimal defilement), I thought I would mention mine since I decided to take up Eerdmans on its discount extension. First, the ones I bought at SBL, and then the ones whose SBL discount I took advantage of online.

Harstine, Stanley. Moses as a Character in the Fourth Gospel. Journal for the Study
of the New Testament Supplement Series 229. London: Sheffield Academic Press, 2002.

Phillips, Peter M. The Prologue of the Fourth Gospel: A Sequential Reading. Journal for the Study of the New Testament Supplement Series 294. London: T&T Clark, 2006.

When I realized that these were retailing at $170 a piece, I understood how blessed I was to obtain these for $50 each. Much thanks to T&T Clark/Continuum.

Michaels, J. Ramsey. The Gospel of John. The New International Commentary on the New Testament, edited by Gordon D. Fee. Grand Rapids: William B. Eerdmans, 2010.

von Wahlde, Urban C. The Gospel and Letters of John, Volume 1: Introduction, Analysis, and Reference. Eerdmans Critical Commentary. Grand Rapids: William B. Eerdmans, 2010.

———. The Gospel and Letters of John, Volume 2: The Gospel of John. Eerdmans Critical Commentary. Grand Rapids: William B. Eerdmans, 2010.

For these, Eerdmans gave a 30 percent SBL discount. Would anyone happen to know if Fortress has an extension on its discount? If so, when did or does that end?

UPDATE: The formatting was a little off after I corrected the post this morning via the WordPress app for iPhone. I got it fixed now. Sorry if it was a little hard to read.
