To Miranda:
Words are sufficient for basic communication, but there are some things that need to be said that go beyond words. As the days and years ahead of us disappear into the past may it be that I continually learn how to enact how I feel about you. Today, I hope that telling you will suffice.
I know calling you my best friend is a bit cliche, but it accurate. I can not think of anyone who can brighten my day like you do. You have the ability to make me feel all is right with the world simply by showing me your smiling face. You comfort me in the bad times and you celebrate with me in the good time. I cannot imagine what life would be like without you by my side, sharing every day, learning to navigate life together, embracing hopefulness in the future.
Being a husband is a difficult task, but your gracefulness makes it easier. I apologize for the many times I don’t tell you how much I love you or I neglect to express my gratitude for who you are to me. Thank you for mercifully putting up with a fool like me.
I anticipate being with you until the day that death does us part. There is nothing like knowing I have a companion with which to share life’s journey. You are a beautiful person. You are caring. You are my confidant. Thank you for loving me.
Love,
Brian
This brought a tear to my eye. You are correct. Being a husband is hard work (we can be boof-heads from time to time but with the help of gracious and loving wife we can make it.
I pity the person who doesn’t go into marriage expecting to work at it!
Thank you for the beautiful words. I could not imagine my life without you. You are God’s greatest gift to me.
@Miranda: You’re welcome my Love!
