I’ll explain this in more detail in an upcoming blog post but for now, let me say, sometimes it is difficult being a Barthian in an Arminian world…
(“Living in in an Arminian world and I am and a b b b barthian guy…” Now for this to work you have to imagine me singing this to Madonna’s ‘Material Girl)
uh oh. i gotta read your thoughts on this. can’t wait.
It should be a vlog where you record yourself singing your thoughts on the matter to the tune of Madonna’s song! We would quickly become the ‘Glee’ of biblioblogs.
“We would quickly become the ‘Glee’ of biblioblogs”
I predict a running joke coming on.
Uh oh. Remember, there is no grounds for calling us ‘Glee’ until Mark does a vlog.
Whose Arminian world do you live in?
My local theological scene is very much arminian. colleagues & college (to some extent). Australia is predominately arminian except for pockets of reformed theology.
yes, but thankfully it seems Barth’s reformed theology is quite unsatisfactory for the more hard core calvinists’ (esp those of the Westminster stripe or more conservative reformed folk).
Barth seems to rub a lot of people the wrong way! Both Arminians and stricter Reformed types.
