Brian –
You need to get Peterson’s, Eat This Book. 🙂 Just finished it and it was so pastorally marvellous with regards to approaching Scripture. Very solid, and evangelical, but not so tight and dogmatic as a systematic approach to Scripture.
@Scott: I have had an eye on it for a while. I do hope to read it. Maybe this year even!
Hoping to post a review of it in the next week or so.
