Yesterday RelevantMagazine.com published my article “A Letter to My 18-Year-Old Self”. This is the excerpt from the beginning.
“A decade ago it was almost my 19th birthday. This would mark the end of my teens. I was about to begin college, leave my family and hometown, and attempt to evolve into this thing called an “adult.” All things considered, I think I’ve done well, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t at least a few things I wish I would have known. The following is a letter to the 18-year-old me. This is what I would want to tell him if I had limited space to advise him about the future:”
You can read the rest here.
I just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed your letter to your 18 year old self.
Brian, that was awesome, I’m going to read it at my church next time I preach.
Thanks! Sharing it with my 19-year-old son.
Jeff: You’re welcome!
I was sharing this with my pastor this morning over coffee (at your favorite place Starbucks ;), and he said that he is ministering at a youth conference and asked me if he can read it there instead of me sharing it at our church, since all of our youth will be attending as well. He will be sharing this with around 1000 young people.
I knew one day I would be friends with someone famous 😉
Robert: Wow, that’s an impressive crowd! I’m honored that he will be sharing it and thank you for doing the same. 🙂
