If Martin Luther King Jr. were alive in 2012 to cast a vote for one of our candidates whom do you think he’d chose? Why?
Either Ron Paul or Obama. Dr. King most vocally against segregation and war in government, these two candidates each strongly represent those issues. Ron Paul is more anti-war than Obama, but Obama more so represents the race equality that Dr. King fought for.
While I think King would see Obama as a symbol of racial progress, he would most definitely reject the policies of Obama, and vote for Ron Paul. King spoke out against outrageous defense spending (military-industrical complex), endless wars of aggression—which destroys the country economically and spiritually, the violation of civil liberties and free speech protected by the first amendment, and the greed of crony capitalists who inevitably trample down the poor and destitute. And just as they tried to defame King and denounce him as a dangerous dissenter, they do the same to Ron Paul. It’s no wonder that Paul names King as one of his heroes. They are in agreement on the issues that matter most.
