Well, today is a good day for evangelicals who might be in the mood to wrestle with the question of the historicity of Adam and Eve. James K.A. Smith has written a review of Peter Enns’ The Evolution of Adam: What the Bible Does and Doesn’t Say About Human Origins for The Colossian Forum titled “Whose Bible? Which Adam?” wherein he expresses concerns regarding Enns emphasis on the human authors of Scripture, his emphasis on getting “behind” the text, his avoidance of a canonical approach, and other loose ends he feels the book did not address. Daniel Kirk responded with a post titled, “What’s Wrong with Theological Exegesis” wherein he questions Smith’s criticisms of Enns.

Also, Scot McKnight (who announced that he will be leaving North Park University for Northern Seminary) has written a three part series (based on a lecture he gave) for BioLogos on the relationship between Christian theology and modern science titled “Thinking Aloud Together”, Pt. 1, Pt. 2, Pt. 3.
