Very similar to Bauckham.
There may also be chiastic structural resonance with the Gospel of John if Warren Gage is right. There was a pdf of his dissertation on this, it’s gone now I think due to him publishing it formally soon.
He demonstrated a chiasmos with chapter 1 of John and 22 of Revelation correlating and so on though both books.
One thing lots of these guys(including Bauckham& Wright) insist on is that the whore of Babylon and the beast she rides are Rome. I think they are 2 separate entities myself and so does Gage. Maybe the only theologian I can find that does.
