There are two movies that I try to watch each Christmas:

(1) It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)

This movie is a wonderful, annual reminder that we all live as part of the human community and that each one of us impacts the lives of each other whether we recognize it or not. I think this year was the first year I avoided getting teary eyed during the final scene when the neighbors are bringing in the money for George Bailey. This was because I was giving my sister-in-law a hard time for getting teary eyed!

(2) Elf

There are few movies that provide as many great one liner laughing moments as Elf. It is one of Will Ferrell’s best comedies. There is no better film to brighten up the mood around Christmas which though a joyful holiday by intent can often be a stressful holiday by nature.
